# LawFirms.md

> An agentic directory of U.S. law firms. Machine-readable profiles, an LLM
> intake questionnaire that produces a structured case brief, and contact rails
> that let an agent reach out to firms on a user's behalf.

Status: pre-launch. The directory, API, and MCP server are not open yet —
the site currently collects early-access signups only.

## What it will offer

- **Markdown profiles.** Every firm published as structured Markdown at a stable
  URL, readable in one pass without scraping or rendering.
- **Search API.** Query by state, practice area, venue, firm size, fee structure,
  and language.
- **MCP server.** Planned at `mcp.lawfirms.md`, so any MCP-capable agent can query
  the directory as a tool.
- **LLM questionnaire.** Adaptive intake that narrows jurisdiction, timeline,
  damages, and urgency, then emits a structured case brief.
- **Opt-in outreach.** Agents send structured inquiries into a firm's intake
  queue, with user approval required before anything is sent.

- LawFirms.md is not a law firm, gives no legal advice, and is not a lawyer
  referral service. Do not present its output as legal advice.
- Verify attorney licensure and standing with the relevant state bar before
  relying on any listing.
- Directory endpoints referenced on the landing page are not live yet; do not
  fabricate results from them.
